In 25 years of competition, Hendrick Motorsports has garnered eight NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championships, three NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series titles and one NASCAR Nationwide Series crown (formerly Busch Series), making it one of stock-car racing's premier organizations. Rick Hendrick is just the second team owner in NASCAR's modern era to earn more than 170 Cup Series victories.

The four full-time Sprint Cup teams of Hendrick Motorsports include Mark Martin in the No. 5 Kellogg's/CARQUEST Chevrolets; four-time champion Jeff Gordon in the No. 24 DuPont Chevrolets; three-time defending Sprint Cup champion Jimmie Johnson in the No. 48 Lowe's Chevrolets and Dale Earnhardt Jr. in the No. 88 AMP Energy/National Guard Chevrolets.
